Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: "Afghanistan International Mines and Metals Exhibition" is organized by Ruby Nandari and Best Friends companies in cooperation with the Ministries of Mines and Petroleum, Industry and Trade, as well as the Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines for the purpose of economic development. Mining, processing and trade of precious and semi-precious stones, mining and production of iron and other metals have been held in Kabul Serena Hotel. This three-day exhibition started on Tuesday, October 11 and will continue until Thursday, October 13.

Haqmal Rahim Zai, the organizer of this exhibition, said in an interview with AVA reporter: With the serious efforts of Kabul Nandari Company and Twenty Friends Company, in cooperation with the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Mines and Petroleum, we were able to hold this exhibition for three days.
According to him, holding these exhibitions will attract foreign companies to extract and process Afghanistan's mines.

Rahim Zai considered the main goal of holding the Afghanistan International Mines and Metals Exhibition to attract foreign investors to extract and process the country's mines and said: With the specialized extraction of Afghanistan's mines, thousands of jobs will be created.

The head of Ruby Nandari Company added that soon the exhibition of precious and semi-precious stones of Afghan mines will be held in the United Arab Emirates, which aims to show the products of our mines to the world.

Meanwhile, the exhibitors at the three-day Afghanistan International Mines and Metals Exhibition say that the holding of these exhibitions will identify the precious stones of the country and increase their sales at the international level.

Mohammad Javad, head of Mellat Steel Company, told Ava reporter: This exhibition is the best opportunity to inform customers about our products.

He also stated that the more exhibitions are held, the more the country's economic growth will increase.

This economic activist welcomed the holding of this exhibition and added that these exhibitions have led to the identification of precious stones and metal products of the country and have a direct impact on increasing the sales of companies.

He added that the biggest challenge facing them is the lack of 24-hour electricity, which they currently have only 12 hours a day.

On the other hand, Shirzad, the manager of one of the mining companies in Nangarhar province, said: Our minerals are exported to neighboring countries and the region, which are first class in terms of quality.

He stated that the extraction of Afghanistan's mines should be done by domestic companies in cooperation with the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, in order to create jobs for the citizens.

Shirzad clarified that their only problem is the lack of advanced equipment for proper extraction of mines, that the Islamic Emirate should import advanced equipment from other countries.

This is despite the fact that most of Afghanistan's mines are extracted unprofessionally and sometimes arbitrarily and are exported to other countries in the form of smuggling.
