No compromise on republic system and women
Republic system and women's rights cannot be compromised in peace talks, President Ashraf Ghani said on Monday.

Addressing a campaign gathering ahead of election next month, Ghani said that any peace agreement with the Taliban would be referred to the nation for approval, either through parliament, Loya Jirga or a referendum.
The president said that the country’s sovereignty would not be traded away in peace talks.
He said that Afghans at the Loya Jirga proposed paving way for Taliban’s participation in political power under the republic form of governance.
Ghani also suggested that Afghan women won’t accept Taliban’s rule under which they denied their right to educate and work.
He once again rejected the idea of forming an interim government and said that the election will be held on its due date.
