President Ashraf Ghani has met with US peace envoy for Afghanistan reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad, tweeted Presidential Palace spokesman Sediq Sediqqi.
According to Sediqqi, “both discussed the latest development in Afghan peace, the reduction in violence and the future steps in the process.”
This comes as the Afghan government has postponed the release of Taliban prisoners.
