The meeting of the UN Human Rights Council began
The meeting of the UN Human Rights Council started today and will continue until July 8. Topics such as the role of governments in responding to human rights, COVID-19, and dialogue on the Occupied Palestinian Territories will be on the agenda. It is said that there is a possibility that respect for human rights in Afghanistan will be on the council's agenda too.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA), The meeting is scheduled to take place at 10:00 a.m. Geneva time and will last until July 8.
 
The main agenda of the meeting is the role of states in responding to human rights, COVID-19 and the discussion on the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
 
It is said that Afghanistan and the issue of human rights, especially women's rights, are on the possible agenda of the council meeting after the domination of the Islamic Emirate.
 
Earlier, 25 human rights and civil society organizations called on the UN Human Rights Council to focus on Afghanistan's human rights challenges.
