Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring, the high-ranking former army general recently said in a speech in Washington that US officials said that fighting with Taliban would disrupt the Doha agreement.
Speaking at an aid summit in Washington, D.C., Gen. Hebatullah Alizai said the immediate changes in the leadership of the security forces by Ashraf Ghani and Hamdallah Muhib had led to the dispersal and defeat of the army.
The former military official says most of those who failed to manage army units during the war were promoted to senior positions by Ghani and Muhib.
In the last five days of the previous government, General Hebatullah Alizai was appointed by Ashraf Ghani as Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense.
Meanwhile, it is not clear whether his appointment was based on the criteria of his failure in previous posts.
He recently claimed in another controversial statement that in the last moments leading up to the fall, Karzai intended to seize power but he did not allow it.
While many former military and military officials have blamed Ashraf Ghani, his national security adviser, Hamdallah Muhib and the US government for the collapse of the regime, the disintegration of the army and the victory of the Taliban, Ghani and Moheb deny the allegations.
Its notable that The United States and the leaders of the ousted government led by Ashraf Ghani accuse each other of unwillingness to fight.
