Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Reuters news agency has reported that the largest US military aid to Ukraine since the beginning of the war with Russia is scheduled to be announced today, Wednesday (August 24). It has been said that, in addition to other operations, these aids can be used to supply Kyiv with weapons and train its forces.
The report states that the aid will be officially announced by the White House today, Wednesday, which coincides with Ukraine's Independence Day and six months after the start of the Russian war.
It said the money would come from the Pentagon's Security Assistance Fund for Ukraine and could be used directly to cover the costs of the war, including the purchase of weapons and equipment.
The Pentagon fund is separate from the presidential fund, which US President Joe Biden uses to provide emergency military aid to Ukrainian forces from US military reserves.
On Friday, the Pentagon announced the latest $775 million presidential fund aid package, which includes precision missiles, anti-armor weapons, reconnaissance drones, artillery and mine clearance equipment.
American officials have said that these military aid may be spent on training soldiers and buying weapons that will not even be used on the battlefield in the next year or two.
Despite this, according to statistics, America has helped Kiev more than 10 billion dollars since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
