Increase in readers for religious books in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Balkh: Abdul Rahman Muchin Khel, one of the sellers of old books in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, said in an interview with the reporter of Ava about the situation of book sales and book binding: the number of applicants and customers for religious books has increased over the past year, and sales or Book applicants can be divided into several categories, and in general, book fans have increased in the city.
 
He says that due to the efficiency of the Islamic Emirate, school books and religious books have been sold the most, and we buy most of the old books from school students and deliver them to the applicants after binding them.
 
Mochinkhel admitted that other different sections of the society sell their studied or old books and we buy them, and the applicants for such books are poor students because the general public is facing serious economic problems.
 
Mohammad Hejran, another seller of old books in Mazar-e-Sharif, says: Book fans and readers are increasing every day, and for now we have the most demand in the religious books sector, and the sale of old school books has a wide range.
 
He stated that we buy old books from people and after binding and repair, we provide them to the applicants for a small fee, and in this way we make a living.
 
He said: A significant number of students study books outside the country's curriculum.
 
Aladdin, another seller of old books, added that book customers have increased compared to the past, and we also buy old books from people and sell them in the market after binding, and the books that cannot be bound and repaired are sent to cardboard factories. Or we send paper boxes.
 
At the same time, some citizens of Mazar-e-Sharif city say: reading books brings knowledge in the society, but unfortunately, there are few people reading books in the country, and the authorities should try to promote the culture of reading books so that young people can read and become familiar with books.
 
They said that various problems are affecting the people of Afghanistan and poverty and unemployment are rampant. We ask the authorities to take the country's development and the nation's comfort forward, otherwise the human crisis in Afghanistan will reach its peak.
