Expelling immigrants from Turkey; More than 1100 Afghan immigrants were returned to the country

In the statement of this immigration office, it is stated that at this time, about 2269 people entered Turkey illegally, of which 824 people are Afghans, 91 people are Pakistanis and 1354 people are citizens of other countries.
 
According to the report of this immigration department, Turkey still hosts 19,746 immigrants, the majority of whom are Afghan and Pakistani immigrants.
 
In its report on 2022, the General Directorate of Migration of Turkey announced that it expelled about 124,441 immigrants from its country in 2022, whom it called "illegal" immigrants.
 
According to the report of this department, 68 thousand 290 people were Afghans, 12 thousand 511 were Pakistanis and the rest were from other countries whose names were not mentioned.
 
In this regard, the authorities of Agra province in eastern Turkey announced on Friday night that 227 illegal Afghan immigrants were returned to their country.
 
A Turkish official in the country's immigration department said that these migrants were first sent to Ankara airport and from there by air to Afghanistan.
