Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Electricity Supply Company (Brashna) said last night (January 23) that the electricity imported from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan has been extended for 2023.
According to this company, the contract for the extension of electricity import from Turkmenistan was signed in Ashgabat on (Monday, January 23).
Breshna did not say anything about the amount of electricity imported from Turkmenistan. Along with Uzbekistan, this country provides electricity to most of Afghanistan.
The Islamic Emirate has recently extended the contract with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Despite this, Uzbekistan has cut off electricity to Afghanistan, which recently said it would reconnect electricity on Wednesday (January 25). Currently, Kabul and several provinces are facing a shortage of electricity.
