NATO want to send heavy weapons to Ukraine
Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) yesterday (Tuesday, January 24), while criticizing Berlin's delay in sending tanks to Ukraine, asked the allies of this organization to send heavy and advanced weapons to Kiev as soon as possible.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Jens Stoltenberg added: There is no evidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin has changed his goals in Ukraine.

The NATO Secretary General stated in his visit to Berlin: "The only way to achieve lasting peace is to make it clear to Putin that he will not win this war."

While making these statements, he concluded: Therefore, we must provide more advanced systems to Ukraine.

Stoltenberg said about the European negotiations on sending battle tanks to Ukraine: "We have talked about this issue and the consultations will continue among our allies, and I am sure that we will reach a solution in this regard soon."

He claimed that Ukraine needs battle tanks to repel Russian attacks and liberate its lands.

Some news outlets covered Stoltenberg's recent statements and added: Boris Pistorious, the new German defense minister, has also said that the Western allies can start training the Ukrainians to use Leopard 2 tanks.

The West, which has prepared itself to send heavy and more advanced weapons to Kiev, is pressuring Berlin to send Leopard 2 tanks.

Ned Price, the spokesman of the US State Department, claimed on Monday local time in Washington among reporters that you can expect news from Germany about the delivery of tanks to Ukraine in the near future.

Countries such as Poland, which have German tanks, must obtain Berlin's approval to send them to Ukraine, and Germany has made the delivery of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine conditional on the United States and other allies providing their tanks to Kiev.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki recently criticized Berlin's delay in sending Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine and said that the country is ready to form a smaller coalition without the presence of Germany in order to send battle tanks to Ukraine.
