The UAE request for an urgent meeting of the Security Council on Palestine
The United Arab Emirates, as one of the non-permanent members of the Security Council, has called for an emergency meeting of this body on Monday night (February 27) regarding the alarming developments in the West Bank of the Jordan River.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Shahad Matar", the representative of the UAE in the Security Council, wrote on Twitter: In the shadow of the worrying developments in the occupied West Bank, the government of Abu Dhabi demands a closed-door meeting of the Security Council.
This request has been made following the spread of violence and extreme decisions of Netanyahu's cabinet in the region.
