Erdogan signed the protocol of Finland
Turkish media reported yesterday (Sunday, April 2) that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has signed the protocol for Finland's membership in the NATO military alliance.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Last Friday, Turkish parliamentarians approved Finland's NATO membership protocol and agreed to the country's request to join this military alliance.

Turkey must now hand over the document confirming Finland's membership in NATO to Washington, where the main treaty of this military alliance is located in 1947.

According to this report, Finland will officially become a member of NATO when the Turkish agreement is submitted to the US State Department.

However, Turkey has not yet announced whether it will approve Sweden's application for NATO membership, which was submitted at the same time as Finland's application in May.

However, Turkey still refuses to approve Sweden's NATO membership proposal. Ankara says Sweden has not been serious enough in dealing with people Turkey considers terrorists.

Talks between Sweden and Türkiye have not made much progress.
