30,000 citizens of Afghanistan will take part in the Hajj ceremony this year. The Ministry of Hajj and Islamic Affairs (MoHIA), said.
Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, Noor Mohammad Saqib, the Islamic Emirate's acting minister for Hajj and Islamic Affairs, said the first group of pilgrims will leave for Saudi Arabia on the first day of Jawza (solar calendar).
According to Saqib, private and public planes will transport pilgrims from Kabul, Herat, Balkh, and Kandahar.
"The first flight of pilgrims is scheduled to take place from Afghanistan to Saudi Arabia on the first of Jawza (solar calendar) of this year," he said.
The Islamic Emirate's acting minister for Hajj and Islamic Affairs noted that necessary facilities have been provided for pilgrims in Mecca and Medina.
"This year, each pilgrim's expenses are estimated to be $3,924 dollars, or 340,000 Afghani," Saqib added.
Abdul Wali Haqqani, Financial and Administrative Director of MoHIA, said that a quota has been set aside for women to perform the Hajj, and there is no difference between men and women in this regard.
"The Ministry of Hajj and Islamic Affairs has given the same quota to women and men to participate in the Hajj ceremony, and there is no difference in this matter,” Haqqani said.
According to data from the Ministry of Hajj and Islamic Affairs, more than 135,000 people from Afghanistan attended the Hajj ceremony in the 1401 solar year.
