Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, Despite the British government’s advice against all travel to Afghanistan, Joe Sheffer is offering tourist holidays to the war-torn country.
Freelance cameraman Joe Sheffer is charging £4,000 per person for the tours to the southern (Kandahar and Helmand) provinces of Afghanistan through his company Safarat Tours, which he founded with former colleague Noori Qadtullah.
Sheffer and his Afghan partner took their first group of tourists to Afghanistan last October and he says a ‘bigger group’ including a photographer from New York Times is set to travel to Afghanistan in the coming weeks.
The launch of this tour to Afghanistan has provoked a wave of criticism from the Conservative Party and British security officials.
