The beginning of the return of about 500,000 Syrian refugees from Turkey
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that the return of about 500,000 Syrian refugees from Turkey to their homes has begun, and that the country is building a place to live for about one million refugees in cooperation with Qatar.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Based on the report of Anatolia News Agency, Erdogan made these statements in a speech in Ankara on Wednesday, May 24.

He stated: "The return of about 500,000 refugees to brick houses in northern Syria has begun. The process of building housing for one million refugees continues."

The President of Turkey added: "In this regard, we are taking another step, which is to build houses for asylum seekers with the participation of Qatar. “With this joint action, we can accommodate one million refugees."

Based on the latest statistics of the Turkish Migration Agency, more than 3.5 million Syrian refugees live in this country.

The issue of Syrian refugees, the cultural differences between them and the Turkish society and their "occupation" of work is one of the important issues in the current elections of this country. In the past years, Mr. Erdoğan emphasized on "Islamic Mercy" such as "Islamic Sadr" against the opposition's criticism of the increase of these asylum seekers.

However, Mr. Erdoğan's opposition candidate, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, said that he has made the deportation of 10 million refugees living in Turkey one of his goals if he wins the presidency.
