According to the announced results, Erdogan won more than 27 million and 88 thousand votes, equivalent to 49.5% of the votes, and Kamal Kılıçdaroğlu won more than 24 million and 568 thousand votes, equivalent to 44.89%, and Sinan Oghan entered the second round. The third candidate of this competition also won about 2 million and 829 thousand votes, equivalent to 5.17% of the votes of this competition.
 
The Supreme Election Council of Turkey announced the number of people eligible to vote in the simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections of this country as a total of 64 million 200 thousand people and reported that 3 million 416 thousand 98 of them are outside Turkey. They take.
 
Voting for Turkish elections outside the country started 10 days ago, and Turkish citizens voted in 73 countries and in 167 representative offices of this country in different parts of the world within five days, and with an increase of about 100 thousand votes, a total of more than one million and 912,000 Turkish citizens living abroad voted and the votes received were transferred to the country, which will be counted tomorrow after the end of the election.
 
According to the decision of the Supreme Election Council of Turkey, all 191 thousand 884 ballot boxes in 973 districts of 81 provinces of Turkey and all the boxes outside Turkey will be opened and counted tomorrow after the completion of the voting procedures.
 
Turkey's presidential term is five years, and according to the constitutional amendment that was approved in 2017, the president is the highest executive officer and the head of government and has full authority in choosing ministers and government officials.
 
The Turkish presidential election has been extended to the second round for the first time in the history of this country.
 
Two weeks ago, in the simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections, the 28th Turkish Parliament elections were held, during which the candidates of 24 parties along with 151 independent candidates competed for 600 parliamentary seats in 87 constituencies.
 
During the parliamentary elections in Turkey, the candidates of the pro-Erdogan parties, including 16 members of his cabinet who participated in the presidential coalition, were able to win the majority of the country's parliament with 323 seats.
 
The presidential term of Turkey is five years, and the people's elected members in the Turkish parliament, which has 600 members, sit in their seats for five years.
