Officials of Uzbekistan and Pakistan discussed the construction of railways in Afghanistan
The Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Affairs met with the Ambassador of Pakistan in Tashkent and discussed the transportation projects through Afghanistan and the construction of the "Tirmaz-Mazar Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar" railway.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan published a newsletter stating that Pakistani Ambassador Ahmad Farooq called Tashkent's participation in regional projects important in this meeting.

The road map for the construction of the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan railway line was signed in Tashkent in 2019 between the then officials of the three countries.

After taking office, the Islamic Emirate has also held talks with Uzbekistan authorities about this project.

On the other hand, the Railway Department of the Islamic Emirate wrote on Twitter that Bakhtur Rahman Sharaft and "Abd al-Malik Rouhani" in charge of international communications of the Railway Department have participated in the 31st meeting of the Middle East section of the International Union of Railways in Turkey at the head of a delegation.

During the visit of the head of the Afghanistan Railway Administration to Turkey, "Serkan Atamir", the head of Kardemir Smelting Company has suggested to the Afghan delegation to produce rails instead of extracting Afghanistan's mines.

He also said that this process has had positive results in other countries.

However, the head of the Islamic Emirate Railway Department stated that there have been discussions about this proposal in Kabul, and if there is an agreement, the planning will be carried out.
