Daesh Claims Responsibility For Badakhshan Mosque Explosion
Daesh claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing inside a mosque in Badakhshan province.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, On Thursday, the explosion inside Nabawi mosque in Badakhshan province killed at least 13 people and wounded 30 others during a memorial service of provincial deputy governor Nisar Ahmad AhmAhmadi.
A regional offshoot of ISIS, stated in a statement late Friday that the attacker had targeted the service near the Nabawi Mosque in the city of Faizabad in the Badakhshan province on Thursday.
The statement by Daesh claimed that at least 20 senior Islamic Emirate officials were killed and 50 others were injured, higher casualty totals than those provided by the Islamic Emirate authorities. 
The deputy governor of Badakhshan, Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi, was killed in a car bombing on Tuesday in Faizabad, and a memorial service was organized in his honour. The Islamic State organization also claimed responsibility for the incident, which claimed the life of the deputy governor’s driver and injured ten others.
