Bus Crash Killed At Least 1, Injured 18 in Afghanistan
According to officials, at least one person was killed, and 18 others were injured in Takhar Province of Afghanistan, after a minibus crashed into a ravine.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, According to provincial police spokesperson Abdul Mubin Safi, the deadly vehicle accident occurred in the Rustaq district before noon when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to reckless driving. As a result, the bus fell into a ravine, killing one person on the spot and injuring 18 others, including three children and a woman.
 
The injured people were taken to the hospital for medical treatment, the spokesperson said.
 
This is the second traffic accident over the last four days; the first occurred in the Wardak province on Friday, killing two people and injuring nine others.
 
Earlier, one person died, and three others were injured in a traffic accident in Parwan province on Friday.
 
The statement said a Toyota Corolla car collided with a motorcycle in the Sar-e-Khwaja Sayaran area of Charikar City in Parwan province. 
 
The biker was killed in the crash, and three other people, including a woman, were hurt, according to the officials of the provincial security command.
 
Experts attribute the rise in traffic accidents nationwide to reckless driving, poorly maintained automobiles, cracked and unpaved roads, and disregard for traffic rules.
