Erdogan and Putin emphasized the importance of grain agreement
The presidents of Russia and Turkey, in a short conversation with the media in Sochi before the official talks between them, described the agreement on the export of grains from Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea as the priority of today's meeting.

In a short conversation with the media in Sochi before the start of the official talks, the two sides described the agreement on the export of grain from Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea as the priority of today's meeting.
 
At the beginning of this meeting, Erdogan said that today's meeting in Sochi is very important: "We will take measures to continue using national currencies in our trade exchanges. Türkiye and Russia have important projects in the field of tourism.
 
According to "Sputnik" news agency, while stressing the importance of grain agreement, he explained: "This issue will form a large part of our talks today." African countries are waiting for the results of our meeting today regarding the grain export agreement.
 
The Turkish president also thanked Russia for helping to extinguish forest fires in his country.
 
In the continuation of this meeting, the President of Russia also stated: "We will discuss with the President of Turkey about the latest developments in Ukraine and we are ready to negotiate for the revival of the grain agreement."
 
According to Fars and written by Sputnik, Putin stated that Russia will continue to cooperate with Turkey in the field of atomic energy and said: "We are confidently moving forward in the field of energy and have agreements with major buyers."
 
He also added: "The fire in Turkey was a big disaster, especially after the earthquake disaster. We have extensive areas of cooperation with Turkey and we will soon finish our negotiations on the gas distribution center.
