World Food Program: If the funding is not provided, we have to leave Afghanistan
The executive director of the World Food Program announced that the program's budget is insufficient to get through the month of October in Afghanistan and said that if the budget is not provided, the World Food Program will have to leave Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Cindy McCain, the executive director of the World Food Program, said in an interview with the American ABC news channel that the World Food Program is struggling with the worst lack of funding in its 60-year history.
 
"We are in a desperate situation," added Ms. McCain.
 
He considered the corona epidemic, climate change and war as the reasons for reducing the budget of the World Food Program.
 
The executive director of the World Food Program has said that the organization has been forced to significantly reduce its aid in countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Jordan, Palestine, South Sudan, Somalia and Syria.
 
He added that the World Food Program in Afghanistan "does not have enough money to get through the month of October".
 
Mrs. McCain said: "Until we can create a budget for Afghanistan, we should leave it completely."
