The implementation of agricultural projects in Afghanistan is centered on the meeting of the Acting Ministry of Agriculture with the representative of the United Nations
Maulavi Ataullah Omari, the Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, in a meeting with Annabeh Sodeh, the representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Afghanistan, discussed strengthening coordination for the implementation of agricultural projects and requested the cooperation of supporting institutions in providing advanced agricultural equipment.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Misbahuddin Mustain, the head of information and public awareness of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, in an interview with AVA reporter, said that in this meeting Maulvi Ataullah Omari, one of the efforts of the officials of the Ministry of Agriculture to create jobs, mechanize agriculture.
 
According to him, the Acting Minister of Agriculture added in this meeting, "We can consider a chain system in Afghanistan's agriculture sector, in which all matters from above-ground research, weather and cultivation to supply in the market are considered." In this way, by producing better crops, more and more peasants will become self-sufficient and have food security.
 
Mr. Mustain said that the Acting Minister of Agriculture spoke about the lack of mechanization of Afghanistan's agriculture and livestock and the need for mechanization and requested the cooperation of long-term institutions in this sector.
 
Attaullah Omri added: "Our farmers are still using the tools that were available a hundred years ago, but there are very advanced tools in the world that were available at a lower cost and will bring about a huge change in Afghanistan's agriculture, according to the same institutions. We want them to cooperate with us in providing advanced agricultural machinery."
 
The head of information and public awareness of the Ministry of Agriculture noted that in this meeting Annabe Sodeh, the representative of the United Nations Office against Narcotics and Crime in Afghanistan, provided information to the Acting Ministry of Agriculture about the activities and projects of the mentioned institution in Afghanistan and assured that the projects They are implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture to increase its effectiveness.
 
According to his words, Annabeh Sodeh expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture in providing facilities for the activities of temporary institutions and requested to speed up the administrative processes to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture and temporary institutions, which the Minister of Agriculture gave them full assurance of Acceleration of work processes was entrusted.
 
Previously, the deputy of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of the Islamic Emirate, in a meeting with the deputy of the United Nations Development Program, said that the international organizations have not cooperated with Afghan farmers on the alternative of poppy cultivation.
 
It should be mentioned that the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime was established in 1997 by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, with the aim of controlling drugs, preventing crime and combating global terrorism.
