President of Tajikistan: "Casa One Thousand" project should be resumed
On the sidelines of the climate change meeting in Dubai, the president of Tajikistan, in a meeting with the head of the World Bank, emphasized the necessity of resuming the work of the "Casa One Thousand" project, which transfers electricity from Central Asia to South Asia.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Imam Ali Rehman has said that with the implementation of this project, 1300 megawatts of electricity will be transferred from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to Pakistan through Afghanistan, and this project needs to be completed.

According to Mr. Rahman, the CASA project will connect 1,000 energy markets in Central and South Asia through Afghanistan.

Imam Ali Rahman said in this regard: "CASA project connects 1,000 energy markets of Central and South Asia through Afghanistan, and its work should be resumed."

In the meantime, Hekmatullah Meyvandi, the spokesperson of Breshna directorate, said that Kabul has made the necessary preparations for this project, and if the World Bank supports and cooperates, the work of this project will begin.

On the other hand, a number of economic experts have said that the start of the Casa 1000 project can be an important step in the provision of electricity and will continue to connect the interests of countries.

The Casa One Thousand project is one of the largest energy supply projects in Central Asia, which is designed to transfer electricity from Central Asian countries to South Asia.

It should be mentioned that the work process of this project in Afghanistan has been stopped since 1401.
