Rallies held to condemn US veto of UN ceasefire resolution on Gaza
Pro-Palestinian rallies continue across the world to demand an end to Israel’s brutal aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring:  Amidst a "Shut down Wall Street" protest in lower Manhattan, hundreds rallied against the US veto on a UN ceasefire resolution, demanding an end to American financial aid to Israel in the wake of the Israeli war's devastating toll in Gaza.
A similar rally was held in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah to show support for Gaza. The demonstration came as violence had also surged in the West Bank, where Israeli forces shot dead six Palestinians on Friday, the territory's health ministry said.
Elsewhere in the Lebanese capital Beirut, women and children took part in a demonstration to show their solidarity with the children of Gaza. Toys wrapped in white sheets and small cardboard coffins bearing the Palestinian flag were arranged to represent the children killed across the Gaza Strip as the Israel's war on Gaza continues into its third month since October 7. The demonstrations take place as Gaza health ministry says that 17,487 people have been killed by Israeli forces in the territory./Press tv
