Ministry of Foreign Affairs to China: Start the practical work of Aynak copper project
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Minister of the Ministry, met with the Special Representative of the People's Republic of China for Afghanistan in Kabul. In this meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate requested the start of practical work on the Aynak copper project from China and assured that the relevant departments of Afghanistan are fully prepared in this field.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote on X social network today (Monday, December 18) that Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi met with Yu Xiaowing, the Special Representative of the People's Republic of China for Afghanistan. In this meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate requested the start of practical work on the Aynak copper project from China and assured that the relevant departments of Afghanistan are fully prepared in this field.
 
He added that in this meeting, the recent developments in bilateral relations between Afghanistan and China, especially the participation of the foreign minister in the Trans-Himalayan meeting, the meeting of the foreign ministers of the two countries, the beginning of the ambassador of the Islamic Emirate in Beijing and China's investments in Afghanistan were also discussed.
 
Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs also said that the beginning of the ambassador of the Islamic Emirate in Beijing is an important development. He appreciated China's positive position in international meetings.
 
Mr. Muttaqi emphasized: The two sides should work on ways that will lead to an increase in Afghanistan's exports to China.
 
Meanwhile, the representative of China also spoke in this meeting and said that his country respects Afghanistan's independence and will never interfere in Afghanistan's internal affairs.
 
Mr. Yu Xiaowing also added that China has removed the high customs tariff on goods imported from Afghanistan to a large extent so that the trade between the two countries can grow.
 
At the end of this meeting, the two sides emphasized on expanding relations, increasing trade and more cooperation in the political and economic sectors.
