Qatar once again became the champion of the Asian Nations Cup

Jordan's goal was scored by Yazen Al-Naimat in Qatar. However, the tie between the two teams did not last long and Akram Afif was able to open Jordan's goal again from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute.

 

In the fourth minute of overtime, he scored his third goal in the final game, again from the penalty spot, into Jordan's goal. The final game ended with the result 1-3 in favor of Qatar.

 

Qatar had defeated the Iranian national football team in the semi-final match with the result of 2-3. The Qataris won the Asian Nations Cup in 2019 in the United Arab Emirates.

 

In the semi-final stage, the Jordanian team was able to defeat South Korea with a score of 2-0. Jordan is 29 places lower than Qatar in the FIFA ranking.

 

During this period, the Jordanians were among the top four teams in Asia for the first time and experienced their first final.
