Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Holding a banner reading “AIPAC funds genocide,” protesters passionately chanted slogans such as “Free Palestine,” “Let Gaza live,” “Stop the genocide,” and “Ceasefire now” as they made their way through the city.
Meanwhile, in California, a separate group of pro-Palestinian demonstrators staged a bold protest inside President Biden’s hotel in the upscale Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. Approximately 30 protesters, according to estimates from the White House pool, entered the hotel to demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Chanting “Biden, Biden you can’t hide, we charge you with genocide,” the demonstrators also questioned the president's actions, asking, “How many kids did you kill today?”
Holding a striking banner that read “Stop funding genocide: End all US aid to Israel,” the protesters emphasized their demand to halt American support for Israel.
These protests come amid ongoing tensions in the Gaza Strip, where residents have been enduring a relentless Israeli bombardment.
Despite international calls for a ceasefire, President Biden has resisted, vetoing a UN Security Council resolution for the third time on Tuesday.
In a parallel show of solidarity, residents of Saada province in Yemen echoed their support for the Palestinian cause during their weekly procession. Emphasizing the need to fight against the US, the UK, and the Zionist regime, they also called for sanctions against their supporting companies.
The procession, marked by slogans like “Our Path is with Gaza; Forward to Victory,” underscored the determination of people in Yemen to stand with Palestine. Their statement highlighted the importance of continuing jihad and military mobilization to support Palestinians and combat the Zionist enemy.
Moreover, they urged for the continuation of military actions against the US, the UK, and the Zionist regime until their aggressions cease and the siege of Gaza is lifted./Tasnim
