Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, a representative of the Nawaz branch of the Muslim League Party, was elected as the Speaker of the Pakistan Parliament by winning 199 votes.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Ayaz Sadiq, a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from the Muslim League Nawaz party, was elected as the Speaker of the National Assembly for the third time.
Out of a total of 299 votes, he was able to win 199 votes in his favor and his rival from Imran Khan's party won 90.
Meanwhile, three days ago, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the daughter of Nawaz Sharif, was elected as the Chief Minister of Pakistan's Punjab.
It should be mentioned that in Pakistan's election two weeks ago, the Tehreek-e-Insaf party under the leadership of Imran Khan won the most seats in the parliament; But the Muslim League Party and the People's Party led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reached an agreement to form a coalition government.
