The World Court also ordered Israel to immediately ensure that "its troops do not commit acts that constitute violations of the rights of Palestinians in Gaza as a protected group under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide."
In the order of this international court, it is stated: "The court observes that the Palestinians in Gaza are no longer facing the danger of famine... but rather that famine is occurring."
According to the Associated Press news agency, the International Court of Justice told Israel to report to this court in one month about the implementation of these orders.
The new court order was requested by South Africa as part of the country's ongoing case accusing Israel of "state genocide in Gaza".
The UN Security Council voted on Tuesday to demand an immediate cease-fire from Israel in Gaza and the immediate and unconditional release of all Israeli hostages. The United States abstained from voting on the resolution but did not veto it.
