Reacting to the Zionist regime's attack on the country's consulate in Syria, Iran's president said that this cowardly crime will not go unanswered.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Iran's President Seyed Ibrahim Raeesi, in response to the Zionist regime's attack on the country's consulate in Syria, said that the Zionists should know that they will never achieve their evil goals with such inhumane actions and that they are witnessing strengthening day by day. The front of resistance and disgust and hatred of free nations is against their illegitimate nature and this cowardly crime will not go unanswered.

An emergency meeting of Iran's Supreme National Security Council was held regarding the attack on the country's consulate in Damascus.
 
The Secretariat of Iran's Supreme National Security Council announced: Following another war crime by the Zionist regime against places and people with diplomatic immunity and the martyrdom of Maj. Gen. Mohammad Reza Zahedi, the Supreme National Security Council at 21:00 last night (Monday) in the presence of the President and The head of the council convened a meeting and appropriate decisions were taken.

On Monday, the Zionist regime launched an air attack on the consular building of the Iranian embassy in the southwest of Damascus.

In this attack, a part of the consular building of the Iranian embassy and the ambassador's residence were targeted.

In the course of this air attack, seven people were martyred, including Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and Brigadier General Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi.
