During the last ten days, 294 people have died due to floods in the country
The Ministry of Natural Disaster Management says that in the past 10 days, in addition to the destruction of nearly 15,000 houses due to floods in the country, 294 people have died and 266 others have been injured.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Janan Sayegh, the spokesman of the ministry, said in a press conference on Tuesday, 1st of Gemini, that since 20th of Thor until now, floods in the country have killed 294 people and left 266 injured.
 
He added that 14,923 houses in 14 provinces of the country, including Baghlan and Ghor, were completely and partially destroyed, and 6,655 livestock were destroyed.
 
According to the statistics of this ministry, external aid is being distributed to 17 thousand 807 families and internal aid is being distributed to the rest of the families affected by the flood.
 
The ministry added that so far more than 20 million Afghanis have been distributed to the survivors of the victims and the injured in different provinces.
 
During the past two weeks, the provinces of Baghlan, Ghor, Takhar, Faryab, Badakhshan, Samangan, Sarpol, Herat, Badghis, Laghman, Bamyan, Farah, Nuristan and Kapisa witnessed floods in Madhesh.
 
The statistics of flood casualties provided by different institutions have been different; After the flood in Baghlan, the local officials announced the death toll at 316.
