Afghanistan has exported saffron worth $27 million in the past eight months. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MoIC) said.

Afghanistan exported 69 tons of saffron worth $22 million in the last solar year (March 2022 to March 2023). The Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced.

The largest shipment to date of Afghan exports was dispatched on Saturday to Europe. The Islamic Emirate’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce said.

Local officials of northern Balkh Province said that farmers harvested more than 140 Kg of saffron in the province, which is a 15 percent increase from last year.
