The director of Central Intelligence Agency, Mike Pompeo, visited Kabul last week, Afghan Chief Executive revealed Monday.
AVA- Speaking at the regular ministerial council meeting, CE Abdullah said that during the visit, the top U.S. official met with President Ashraf Ghani and himself.
He said that Pompeo reiterated on U.S. commitment to Afghanistan, without providing further details.
The visit comes as Trump-led U.S. administration is expected to announce new strategy on Afghanistan.
Recently, U.S. National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster said that Trump had already made some important decisions on Afghanistan.
He also suggested that Trump wants Pakistan to change its policy of supporting militant groups targeting Afghanistan.
