AVA- The Office of the President, ARG Palace, said the runway was inaugurated in the presence of cabinet members, parliament and provincial council members, and some tribal elders of the province.
The Khost airport runway has a length of 2664 meters and width of 45 meters and has been built with a total cost of 729 million Afghanis.
President Ghani is also expected to inaugurate the construction of the inner roads of the airport and electricity transmission network for thirteen thousand families.
He also inaugurated the construction of compound for the radar system and firefighting department after inaugurating the runway, ARG Palace said.
According to ARG Palace, President Ghani will have separate meetings with the Ulemas, tribal elders and influential figures, provincial council members, district administrative chiefs, teachers, women, traders, civil society activists, and youths during his visit to Khost province.
