Magnetic Bombs Seized in Herat Province

Yesterday, Afghan National Police and NDS launched a joint security operation in Herat City, capital of western Herat province.

As a result, Afghan National Police and NDS seized an ammunition cache consist of: magnetic bombs and other explosives.

The timely discovery of the explosives has foiled terror attacks and saved the city from an expected tragedy.

Discoveries like this demonstrate the ever-increasing capability of Afghan National Security Forces to protect the civilians from indiscriminate IED attacks.

Afghan National Police encourages all citizens to report suspicious activities and criminal acts to contact by dialing 119.
