Afghan, Pakistani forces begin battle over Durand Line fence at Kandahar
Afghan and Pakistani forces have started battling each other over building of fence along the Durand Line at Kandahar province, the provincial police chief said Sunday.

General Abdul Raziq said that the fighting between Afghan border police and Pakistani forces started in Sro Sahano area in Shorabak district.
Pakistan closed Chaman border crossing amid the battle.
Pakistan began building fence along the 1,500-mile Durand Line last year, apparently to curtail the flow of terrorists between the two countries.
The barrier has, however, angered the Afghan government, which disputes the location of the border and says the fence will tear communities apart.
