Boeing hands over first of the 22 Apache Guardian attack helicopters to India
The Boeing Company has handed over first of the 22 AH-64E (I) Apache Guardian attack helicopters to Indian Air Force, it has been reported.

The helicopter was reportedly handed over to the Indian Air Force in at Boeing production facility in Mesa, Arizona, on 10th of May.
The Indian Air Force officials have said the addition of AH-64E (I) Apache helicopter is a significant step towards modernisation of the force’s chopper fleet.
IAF Spokesperson Group Captain Anupam Banerjee has told The Hindustan Times “The first AH-64E (I) – Apache Guardian helicopter was formally handed over to the Indian Air Force at Boeing production facility in Mesa, Arizona, the US on May 10.”
A multi-billion dollar contract was signed between U.S. government and the Indian Air Force in September 2015 for the purchase of 22 helicopters.
The Indian Air Force is expecting to receive the first batch of the helicopters by July this year.
