Afghan forces repulse coordinated attack on Local Army check posts in Kunar
The Afghan security forces have repulsed a coordinated attack on security check posts of the Afghan Local Army in eastern Kunar province inflicting casualties on three Taliban militants.

The 201st Silab Corps in a statement said a group of Taliban militants launched a coordinated attack on Local Army security posts in Asmar district of Kunar.
The statement further added that the security forces repulsed the attack and killed two Taliban militants during the clashes.
According to 201st Silab Corps, the security forces also wounded another Taliban militant.
The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the clashes so far.
Kunar is among the relatively volatile provinces in South of Afghanistan.
Taliban militants are active in some of the restive districts of the province where they often attempt to carry out terrorist related activities against the government and security institutions.
