Pakistan urges Afghans to visit only if it is very important

The embassy requested this citing “large unmet demand” for Pakistan, leading to long queues and waiting time for visa applicants.
“In light of the impending extreme weather in winter, the afghan visa applicants are requested to approach the Embassy and four consulates only if it is very important for them to urgently travel to Pakistan thus saving other deserving visa applicants from inconvenience,” the embassy said in a statement.
According to the statement, Pakistan Embassy and its four consulates in Afghanistan have issued more than 450,000 visas in the last nine months at an average of 53.000 per month.
