Afghan Voice Agency (AVA), The UN Committee to Investigate Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories has announced in its latest report that the continuation of Israeli occupation and discrimination against the Palestinians are the two main causes of successive crises and instability.
The report emphasizes that forced displacement and threats, the destruction of Palestinian homes and settlements, violence by settlers and the siege of Gaza are among the causes of violence and crisis.
The UN Human Rights Commission has added that the non-punishment of the Zionist regime has increased the anger and resentment of the Palestinian people.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry protested against the report, saying that the report was one-sided and hateful and a waste of international property and the efforts of UN agencies to condemn Israel as part of the Human Rights Council's efforts against Israel.
The report of the Committee of Inquiry into Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories is scheduled for June 13 at the 50th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
