Finland accepts 600 Afghan refugees living in Iran
Kari Kahiluoto's; The Finnish ambassador in Tehran announced the granting of asylum to 600 Afghan refugees living in Iran.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Holy Mashhad: Kari Kahiluoto; On the second day of his visit to the Khorasan-e-Razavi province of Iran, the Finnish ambassador to Tehran visited the Afghan city of Torbat-e-Jam and said: "Transfer Afghans to Finland to live."
 
Regarding the reception of refugees by Finland, Kahiluoto also said: "This plan includes those who have entered Iran since the fall of the Afghan government last year."
 
"According to this plan, Afghan citizens will be invited to Finland this year," said the Finnish ambassador.
 
He noted that this figure is not high in the face of Iran's tough responsibility in hosting millions of Afghan refugees for 43 years; but for Finland, it is a kind of appreciation of Iran's actions.
 
 In this trip, Ali Ghasemi; The Director General of Foreigners and Immigrants of Khorasan Razavi Province of Iran also accompanied the Ambassador of Finland. He said: The city of Torbat-e Jam is a symbol of coordination and cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the international community.
 
Torbat-e Jam Foreign Immigrants Hotel was established in 1373 and is currently serving with the reception of about five thousand Afghan refugees.
