Guterres condemned the explosion in the Kabul cricket stadium
Antonio Guterres; The Secretary General of the United Nations has condemned the explosion at the cricket stadium in Kabul and said that attacking civilians is prohibited under international law.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres tweeted that attacking civilians and civilian areas is prohibited under international humanitarian law.
The Secretary General of the United Nations added that 19 people lost their lives and some were injured in this attack.
Officials of the emergency hospital in Kabul also announced that one person was killed and 12 injured were transferred to this hospital after this incident.
Thomas West, the US special representative for Afghanistan affairs, has also condemned yesterday's attack.
Yesterday, Friday (July 29) an explosion occurred among the spectators during the Ashpagizeh League matches at the international cricket field.
Hours after the incident, the officials of "Islamic Emirate" announced that 4 civilians has been wounded.
It has been said that so far no person or group has taken responsibility for this explosion.
