The war with Ukraine was necessary to prevent the third world war
The Russian Security Council says that the war with Ukraine was necessary to prevent World War III.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy of the Russian Security Council, said on Friday that Ukraine's failure to join NATO is a necessary but insufficient condition and Russia needs other guarantees.

In the continuation of his speech, he warned that if Europe takes more measures against Russia, this continent will not get the amount of gas it needs.
Medvedev added: High-level talks between Russia and Ukraine are possible based on the developments of the situation and only under certain conditions.

The deputy of the Russian Security Council has stated that the Russian military operation in Ukraine was necessary to prevent the third world war.
From February 24, 2022, after recognizing the independence of Luhansk and Donetsk republics from Ukraine, Russia sent troops to this country and announced the start of military operations.
Russia has announced its goal of this action to de-Nazify Ukraine, disarm this country, resolve its security concerns and respond to Luhansk and Donetsk's request for help, and has said that it has no intention of seizing Ukrainian lands.

Following the start of Russia's conflict with Ukraine, while condemning Moscow and intensifying economic pressures, Western countries have put all-round political, financial, and arms support for Kiev on the agenda. Despite the support of the West, in the field, Russia has managed to control Luhansk in the eastern Donbas region of Ukraine and is trying to dominate all regions of Donetsk.

Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, recently stated: "The return of Crimea to Russia, the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics are territorial realities that Ukraine and other countries must accept."

He added: "The legal and wise choice of the people and the right of nations to determine their own destiny must be respected based on the United Nations Charter, and based on this, Crimea has returned to Russia and the two People's Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk have also become independent states.
