Minister of Information and Culture: Bamyan is a living witness of Afghanistan
Mullah Khairullah Khairkhah, the Minister of Information and Culture of the Islamic Emirate, went to Bamyan on Saturday (September 3) and visited the historical areas of this province. During this trip, he called Bamyan a living witness of Afghanistan's 5,000-year-old civilization.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Bamyan: The Minister of Information and Culture emphasized on the completion of the cultural heritage center of Bamyan province and said: "The work of this center should be completed soon so that all movable ancient artifacts can be stored and exhibited in it."
 
The Minister of Information and Culture of the Islamic Emirate mentioned Bamyan as a living witness of different civilization periods in the country and emphasized the serious support of the Islamic Emirate for its preservation.
 
7 historical areas of Bamyan have been included in the UNESCO organization, and many of these areas, including Buda, Gholgleh and Dhahak, are under serious threat of natural disasters and destruction by human and animal factors.
 
The use of caves as shelter and the expansion of cave dwellers, rain and floods, and constructions are among the most serious factors of destruction of the ancient areas of Bamyan.
 
The Minister of Information and Culture, however, says that the plan of reconstruction and restoration of some historical areas in Bamyan province is on the agenda of this ministry.
 
Khairkhah has also emphasized on creating convenience for tourists in the historical areas and natural attractions of this province.
 
Abdul Rahman Mohammadi, the head of information and culture of the Islamic Emirate in Bamyan province, also says that in the last year, about 23 thousand tourists have visited the historical and ancient sites of this province.
