Afghanistan Open for Indian Investment
Suhail Shaheen in Qatar asked India to invest in infrastructure projects in Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, India is one of the countries that have a lot of helpful experience in investing in Afghanistan, said Shaheen in an interview with Indian media.
 
Construction of hospitals, Salma Dam in Herat, participation in the electricity transmission project from Central Asia to Afghanistan, and construction of industrial parks are some of the projects in which India played a central role.
 
Referring to the recent meeting of the Indian Chargé d’affaires in Kabul with the Minister of Urban Development of Afghanistan, Shaheen asked India to help in the construction and supervision of infrastructure projects in Afghanistan.
 
The head of the political office of the Islamic Emirate in Qatar said that “Afghanistan is open to Indian investment, including urban infrastructure.
 
In a recent meeting with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Indian Embassy in Kabul, the Minister of Urban Development of Afghanistan asked India to partake in Afghanistan’s infrastructure projects.
