Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Martin Griffiths, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, is scheduled to visit Afghanistan in the near future.
Ramez Al-Akbrouf, the deputy of the United Nations Office of the Deputy Director of the United Nations in Afghanistan, says that this high-ranking official of the United Nations is discussing with the leaders of the Islamic Emirate about the prohibition of women's work in Afghanistan.
Mr. Alakbarov adds that the purpose of this trip is to solve the issue of women's work in relief organizations.
Ramez Al-Akbarov said: The coordinator of the United Nations emergency and relief department will visit Afghanistan and several trips will be made there, and we are planning to talk with senior officials and overcome to solve this situation in Afghanistan, and this trip will be ours. It will be done over the next few weeks as we assess the implications of what is happening in Afghanistan.
This UNAMA official also says that currently 30% of aid workers in institutions are organized by women and men cannot replace female employees in these institutions. Based on his statements, Afghanistan now needs immediate humanitarian assistance.
