The United Nations is providing 4.6 billion dollars in aid to the people of Afghanistan this year
Martin Griffiths, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, said in a meeting with the administrative deputy of the Islamic Emirate's prime minister that they plan to provide 4.6 billion dollars to 28 million Afghans in 2023.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Griffiths said that this aid is the largest humanitarian activity of the United Nations in the world.
 
In this meeting, which was held in the citadel, a number of officials from various United Nations offices in Afghanistan were also present. Mr. Griffiths said that the purpose of our trip to Afghanistan is to focus on humanitarian activities so that they can continue in a better way.
 
The United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs has also said that for 2023, we have requested 4.6 billion dollars in aid to 28 million Afghans, which is our largest activity globally, therefore the existence of female employees to deliver aid to women. And children are a necessity.
 
On the other hand, Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Administrative Deputy of the Prime Minister's Department, welcomed the assistance of the United Nations and other institutions to the people of Afghanistan, and said that Afghanistan has suffered many injuries in the past 43 years, a large number of women became widows, and countless families lost their loved ones.
 
He emphasized that it is very important to help Afghans under any circumstances.

In his recent speech, Hanafi also spoke about the position and value of women in the holy religion of Islam, and said: "Women have special rights and status in Islam." He added that we hope that if there is a problem in this regard, it will be resolved with understanding.
