Kremlin called the sending of Western tanks to Ukraine a source of tension
The spokesperson of the Russian presidency emphasized: Our forces are capable of confronting Western tanks and destroying them in Ukraine, but the sending of long-range missiles to Ukraine by America will cause tension.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Dmitry Peskov", the spokesman of the Russian presidency, today (Wednesday, February 1, 2023) once again reacted to the sending of tanks and long-range missiles by the United States and other western countries to Ukraine.
During a press conference in the Kremlin, Peskov said: "The tanks that the West sends to Ukraine will be burned, and some businesses in Russia have set a reward for the destruction of Western tanks."
According to "Sputnik" news agency, quoting Fars news agency, he explained about this: "Our forces are capable of confronting Western tanks and destroying them in Ukraine. Such plans (rewarding Russian forces to destroy Western tanks) show unity and everyone's interest in helping special operations.
The Kremlin spokesman stated that Washington destroyed the legal foundations of the "New Start" treaty regarding the limitation of the proliferation of nuclear missiles, and stated: "The sending of long-range missiles to Ukraine by the United States increases tensions, but it does not prevent us from achieving our goals”.
In response to a question about the possibility of a conversation between US President Joe Biden and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Peskov emphasized that no negotiations between Putin and Biden are currently expected.
According to Sputnik, he stated that the path of Russia's special military operation has not changed to achieve its goals, and added: "NATO's military infrastructure, including satellites, work against Russia day and night."
Referring to the aggressive stance of the Baltic countries against Moscow, the spokesman of the Kremlin yesterday warned that they are ready to do anything to increase the confrontation with Russia and do not think about the consequences.
