Thousands of protesters in Germany and England opposed sending weapons to Ukraine
A large number of people in London called for an end to the sending of weapons to Ukraine and peace by organizing a mass demonstration yesterday. In Germany, around 10,000 people demonstrated around the symbolic Brandenburg Gate in the center of Berlin and declared their opposition to sending more weapons to Ukraine.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Reuters wrote in this regard that the demonstration in Berlin was held a day after the anniversary of the war in Ukraine and was held at the same time as the West promised to inject more weapons into Ukraine and impose new sanctions against Russia.

The organizers of this massive demonstration on social networks demanded from German Chancellor Olaf Schulz to stop increasing the delivery of weapons to Ukraine. The protesters were carrying placards that said that there should be a dialogue with Russia as soon as possible. Germany, along with America, has been one of the biggest suppliers of weapons to Ukraine.

Also, in a demonstration held by the "Stop the War" coalition in central London, England, protesters chanted anti-war slogans while holding banners against sending arms to Ukraine.

Jeremy Corbyn, former leader of the Labor Party and Member of Parliament, was among the participants in the anti-war demonstration.

Dalia Sanchez, an anti-war activist, says she just wants to see the war end because too many people have lost their lives, regardless of which side they are on. "I don't agree with sending weapons [to Ukraine] because it would prolong the war," he said. Sanchez said there was no need for war, saying it was the result of "failed diplomacy."

John Clarke, another participant in the London demonstration, also said that in his opinion the expansion of NATO to the east is not right. "I'm here today just because I think we need to stop the warmongers and we need to rethink what's going on," he added. I want to see a ceasefire. We should send diplomats, not weapons."

Talia, an activist who gave only her first name, said in a conversation with Anatolia news agency: "America is manipulating the world for its own interests. I think we have to stop sending weapons, we have to start negotiating, because [war] is not going to bring us a solution. We must understand that Russia is a big and powerful country and we must not forget that it is a big nuclear country.

Western countries, including England, have sent significant amounts of weapons to Ukraine since the beginning of the war. Russia opposes this action and says that such actions will only prolong the war.

Following the start of Russia's conflict with Ukraine in February of last year, while condemning Moscow and intensifying economic pressures, Western countries have put all-round political, financial, and weapons support for Kiev on the agenda.

Russia has emphasized many times before that Western countries have unofficially entered the war by supplying weapons to Ukraine. "The line between direct and indirect interference is gradually disappearing," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said last week.

On the other hand, these massive demonstrations have been held in England and Germany while the German Prime Minister has arrived in India for a two-day visit and is trying to associate India with the anti-Russian policies of the West.

Olaf Schultz went to India for a two-day trip and according to the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India, several high-ranking officials and a delegation of business representatives accompanied him on this trip.

The "Associated Press" news agency wrote that during this trip, Shultz tried to associate India with the anti-Russian policies of the West, including in the field of sanctions.

According to this news agency, Schultz, meanwhile, tried on Saturday to get India to give assurances about supporting Western sanctions and efforts against Russia, or at least not preventing them from being implemented.

However, in response to the efforts of the German Prime Minister, the Indian Prime Minister said that his country wants the conflict in Ukraine to end through dialogue and diplomacy. He added: "India is ready to participate in any peace initiative."

Despite the support of the Westerners, Russia has managed to take over at least 20% of the territory of Ukraine.
