Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: According to National State TV, a bilateral meeting was held between Maulavi Mati-ul-Haq Khalis, General Director of Afghan Red Crescent and Sultan bin Ahmad Al Asiri, Qatar Development Fund Project Manager, in Doha.
In this meeting, the two sides discussed humanitarian aid, health services, helping homeless families and other issues.
The head of the Afghan Red Crescent said in this meeting that the people of Afghanistan have suffered from the effects of 40-year wars, so today they need cooperation. It is hoped that the aid organizations will stay with the people of Afghanistan and take care of the people's situation.
Mr. Khalis added: the number of children suffering from heart disease in Afghanistan is increasing; But the Afghan Red Crescent alone is not able to treat them, we expect humanitarian institutions to help the Afghan Red Crescent in this direction so that the field of treatment is provided for them.
Mr. Khalis expressed his hope that the Qatar Development Fund will cooperate with the Afghan Red Crescent in helping homeless families and treating and supporting the mentally ill, and through the Afghan Red Crescent will start a flour donation project in Afghanistan.
Mr. Sultan bin Ahmad Al-Asiri, responsible for the development projects of the Qatar Fund, while appreciating the activities of the Afghan Red Crescent, expressed his confidence in helping this institution in the mentioned cases and added that we hope to be able to help the Afghans, we are trying to work with the Afghans through the Afghan Red Crescent. Let's communicate and organize the project of helping thousands of tons of flour through it.
